I’m trying to decide on my fall semester schedule. Right now I’m considering taking ORGO I+ LAB and the bio lab so that I can take Orgo II + lab and bio 172 the following semester. I’ve talked with my general advisor and while he says it will be rough, I should keep them at least until the semester starts so I have a place in the classes. How doable is the schedule? I will also be taking easier classes during this time – eng 125, a learning community course, etc.

This schedule is definitely doable! I took something similar the fall of my freshman year. Orgo 1 + Lab is a good combination to get out of the way and I wouldn’t recommend splitting them up. Additionally Bio 173 is not as bad as others make it out to be. Some of the assignments can be tedious but if you get a head start and go to your GSI’s office hours you will do well. The same goes for Orgo– staying on top of the material will certainly help. In addition to that, the SLC offers a great number of resources to help with CHEM 210 including study groups and tutoring.
