Should I take Orgo 1 and Orgo 1 lab during the Spring half over the summer? I would rather get Orgo 1 out of the way this summer, and I’m thinking that if I just take the half-term and completely focus on these two classes it’ll be fine. What do you think?

Hi Isabella! I actually did that (take orgo 1 + lab) spring semester ‘21 with another class. I’d say it is doable but you would need to have good time management skills. I was doing orgo for at least 5 hours a day and then lab 10 hrs a week. It is very fast paced and can be overwhelming especially when you don’t understand the orgo concepts that particular week. The orgo professors are amazing though and will definitely answer all your questions. If you utilize office hours, have good time management skills, and understand the workload, you should be fine!
