Has anyone had any experience being in a pre-health/med fraternity? I know that there are a few on campus that market themselves broadly but I haven’t heard much about the actual experience of being in a student group of that type
I’m in Phi Delta Epsilon, and I love it! We’re Umich’s only exclusively pre-med fraternity (there’s also AED, but they also cover pre-dental, pre-public health, etc.), and we do A LOT. Besides just being a large group of close friends, we engage in many events involving meeting/speaking with various doctors and advisors, workshops regarding med school applications, interviews and the MCAT, and many philanthropic/volunteering opportunities. We also provide a lot of resources for all of our members for classes (whether pre-med or not)! It’s definitely one of my favorite things about Umich, and if you should definitely consider rushing!
