Do you think it’s manageable to take physics 1 with lab over the spring and then then physics 2 with lab over the summer or should I only do one
Hello,
Thank you for your question! I personally took physics 1 during the school year at UofM and thought it was okay although some concepts were harder to grasp as I didn’t have any previous physics background. I took physics 2 over the summer at an institution outside of UofM and thought that the content was very manageable with lab. I am not sure about the changes to the course (from 135 to 150) and if this had any significant changes to the content that made it harder but I believe it should be doable over the half term. If you feel that physics 1 was harder than expected over the spring term, you can always choose to drop physics 2 for the summer term and take it during the school year depending on the rest of your schedule. You can reference the drop deadlines here: https://lsa.umich.edu/lsa/academics/dates-and-deadlines/lsa-academic-calendar.html. Overall, I think that if you are focusing on only these two classes over the spring/summer term, it should be manageable! Please reach out if you have any further questions!
