Pre-Med Q&APhysics 250 during summer semester
Avataranon asked 2 months ago

Hello! During the spring semester, I intend to enroll in physics 250 and 251, perhaps in addition to a HU course. I plan on doing 20 hours of research a week as well. However, I am hesitant to do so in fear that the workload won’t be feasible. Do you think it’s manageable? If so, what are your best recommendations or advice for success. Thank you!

Hello!

I think this would be fairly comparable to taking a full load of courses during a school year. Physics 250 is a difficult course, but it is manageable. Working is different than school because you can set it aside after you leave the lab–you don’t have to think about it until you go back to work. Considering this, I think you should be okay! Just remember it is important to take time for yourself and enjoy the Ann Arbor summer 🙂 I took Calc I and worked 16 hours a week last summer, and this part of my schedule was manageable. I have also had other friends who have taken a class and worked a large number of hours and been okay.

I hope this helps! If you have more questions, feel free to return to the home page and ask another, or attend our advising hours.

Cheers!
