Hi,
I am worried I am going to get a low grade like a C or B- in my calculus class. My GPA is currently a 4.0 and I don’t want much to affect that. Does pass/fail look bad on med school applications? Is it better to keep a low letter grade or switch to pass fail?
Hello there,
I think it is totally okay to pass/fail the calculus class. As long as you don’t have a lot of pass/fail on your transcripts, you should not be worried about it being a negative factor for medical school applications. Also, just a reminder that calculus is not a required class for medical school. If you need extra help with the calculus class, you can go to the Math Lab. I hope this helps. If you have further questions, feel free to come to our office hours.
