Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if MCDB 310 has a curve at the end of the semester? If so, how much is the curve typically?

Hey!
In MCDB 310 the lowest of your first 3 exam scores are dropped, and you cannot drop the final. Additionally, your 2 lowest discussion quizzes are dropped. Last semester, the course was curved so that the average grade was a “B”, after the lowest eligible exam was dropped. This resulted in a final course GPA of 3.0.

If I’ve been scoring at around the average for all the exams, should I expect to earn the average grade of a B?

It depends on how well you do on the other assignments (projects, quizzes, discussion quizzes, etc.) since they also factor into your final grade. So if you do above or below average on these assignments it may shift your grade.
