Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on humanities courses they found interesting to take in addition to the general STEM, pre-med reqs that fulfill the humanities requirement for LSA students. It would be a bonus if they didn’t require too many written essays (but I understand that may be a bit much to ask for in a 3-4 credit humanities course :)).
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
A great humanities class that I’m currently taking is PHIL 183 (Critical Reasoning). It’s an intro to philosophy course with very few writing assignments and very interesting topics! Other philosophy, women’s studies, or culture-specific courses are great humanities alternatives. I cannot speak to the amount of writing assignments, but it is common for humanities courses to require writing essays of some sort. The best way to choose is to look through the course guide after filtering for “humanities” courses and see what sparks your interest!
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
