If I spent time shadowing 4 different physicians in 4 different specialties, should I list each doctor I shadowed as a separate “activity” in AMCAS? Or can I lump multiple shadowing experiences into one or two “activities”?

Hi there,
The way you arrange your activities on AMCAS is really dependent on how many you have in total, since you are limited to 15. Many people do tend to lump shadowing experience into one activity (or two, if you can split them up that way). The most important thing to take into account here is how much you are able to talk about these experiences – if you don’t have much to say in the description, or if you basically did the same thing each time you shadowed, then feel free to put them all under one activity. However, if one of them really stood out to you, you might want to list as another activity so you can have another description box solely to talk about that experience.
