Pre-Med Q&ACategory: Scheduling and ClassesClasses in Spring Term
Avataranon asked 2 years ago

How do I know which pre-requisite classes are offered in spring/summer as opposed to just in fall/winter? For example, I need to take stats 250, bio 172, and chem 130 by the end of spring term, and I can’t figure out which one to put off until spring semester (bc I think they would be hard to take all at once).

Hi!
Since the course guide for Spring/Summer 2021 has not been released yet, the best way to check if a class is usually offered during these semesters is to check past course guides or Atlas. Based on Atlas, it seems as though Stats 250 and Bio 172 have been offered year-round both in the Spring and Summer semesters, while Chem 130 is offered in the summer. We generally recommend only taking one STEM or pre-med class during the Spring semester, since they move through material at a much faster rate and require more time on your part.
I hope this helps, and feel free to stop by our advising hours if you have any more questions!
