Hi I was just wondering if it is a good idea to tackle Physics 140/141 with Chem 210/211 in the same semester along with only 1 more class. Also is it a good idea to take 215/216 in the spring term to make orgo 1 and 2 consecutive and if so which orgo 2 teacher is known to teach fairly well in the spring?

Hi John,
While you would only be taking 3 classes, Orgo + Physics is a challenging combination. I would recommend taking Physics 135/136 if you’re not required to take Physics 140/141 for your major. 135 does not require calculus and is usually more accessible to premed students. If you switch to Physics 135, I think that your schedule would be manageable but still a fair amount of work. Another option is to push off Physics until next year and take your challenging courses one at a time.
I think that taking Orgo2 spring term is a good idea. The only thing to remember is that 216 will require two 2 hour labs per week during spring term, and for this reason a lot of students opt to just take 215 spring term and take 216 in the fall. I’d say that all the Orgo2 professors do a good job of teaching the course material, so you can just pick the one that works best for your schedule.
