I would like to know if BIO 207 Microbiology along with BIO 305 Genetics would be too much for 1 semester? Only other class I would take in addition is Spanish 400 level class. If someone can comment on both classes that would be appreciated.
Hi Eleanor,
If you are planning on taking 3 classes I think this is definitely manageable! Generally, we advise 2 STEM classes at a time as any more can become quite busy. Genetics is fairly time consuming. You will have 4 exams that will require a decent amount of studying. Additionally, there are weekly online quizzes to complete. While I haven’t taken BIO 207, I have been told that it’s workload is a little bit less than Animal Physiology (BIO 225). The combination of these 2 classes will keep you busy but is definitely possible to do well in. Please drop in to office hours if you have any other questions!
