Hi, I was wondering does Bio 207 fulfill both a lab and lecture component for medical schools? The reason why I am asking is because I am unable to take Bio 226 but instead I only can take Bio 225. Does this work to take Bio 207 and it counts as lab as well?
Hi!
According to Newnan’s website, Bio 207 would be both a biology lab and lecture (not upper level) acceptable for med school. However, some schools require a certain amount of credits to be taken for lab and lectures (ex. Michigan State D.O. school requires 8 credits of biological science lectures). For instance they may count Bio 207 as 2 credit lecture and 2 credit lab.
It would be a good idea to check with each individual med school about their current requirements for biology lab and lecture components.
Best of luck!
